Learning to Program 2017-01-27 17:11:52

Interested in learning to program? I personally, started with the Commodore 64, using the BASIC language.

I personally would recommend starting off with learning the language C. Just so that you can learn some of lower level stuff such as integers, floats, and chars. Learning that Strings, and Variants are higher level commodites afforded in languages such as Java(Script) and BAISC.

Look at Microsoft's Visual Express that you (at the time of this writing) download and could use the C++ IDE for a play around.

With C you can learn things such as:

  1. Functions
  2. Variables: int float char
  3. Pointers
  4. Structures
